Trees in a park

Right-of-Way

Like Cobb EMC, other electric utilities are required to keep trees trimmed to a safe distance from high voltage power lines. This ongoing maintenance clears the system's electric lines of vegetation that could compromise the lines if limbs or trees fall due to disease, decay or storm damage.

Cobb Energy Right-of-Way provides Cobb EMC with direct control over right-of-way clearance and more immediate response if a trouble area is spotted.  Services include right of way clearance for new power lines, maintenance of right of way for existing lines and emergency services after storm damage. Three Cobb Energy Right-of-Way crews are primarily responsible for new construction work and maintenance, and will be dedicated to serving the needs of Cobb EMC.
