Tree Trimming and Removal
Trees can add beauty to your landscape and offer protection from the wind and sun. But If not properly cared for, those same trees could also cause problems.
Here are some things to consider:
- Check for power lines around your trees and never trim when power lines are nearby. You could receive an electrical shock.
- Proper care of trees and planning before planting your trees can prevent unscheduled service interruptions.
If you think trees are causing an unsafe condition, or you just need help with preventative tree trimming and removal – then you should contact Cobb Energy today for a free estimate.
Plan Before You Plant
Thinking about planting new trees in your yard?
- Select trees and locations that won’t interfere with power lines when fully grown. A safe distance is outside of 35-45 feet of power lines

- To allow for proper maintenance and to ensure the safety of Cobb EMC employees, please remove and avoid placing plants or other materials less than 10 feet in front of the doors of underground transformers.

- Call before you dig – there may be buried utility lines.
Contact the Georgia Utilities Protection Center at 1-800-282-7411 to request marking of all underground utilities. For more information visit the website at www.gaupc.com. - Choose trees that will be strong enough to endure winter months and are not prone to insects and disease
