About Cobb EMC Pataula District

Cobb EMC, Pataula District, serves approximately 3000 electric customers in the southwest Georgia counties of Calhoun, Clay, Quitman and Randolph. The Cuthbert, GA office provides customer service and the operations group provides line construction and maintenance in the Pataula District, formerly Pataula EMC.

Pataula EMC became part of the Cobb EMC service territory in March of 2005 in the first business transaction of its kind among EMCs in the state of Georgia. Both Cooperatives signed a 99-year lease agreement providing for Cobb EMC's service of this area. The agreement has made it possible to prevent rising costs to Pataula District electric customers while providing excellent customer service.
