Cobb EMC Steak Out Pays Tribute to Men and Women in Law Enforcement
In appreciation of their service to our communities Cobb EMC invited top law enforcement officials to the first annual law enforcement appreciation luncheon. The event, called Steak Out, was a way to recognize and honor the service and sacrifice of those law enforcement officers who protect our communities.
Over 75 law enforcement personnel from counties and cities in Cobb EMC's service area attended. Several guests, including members of Cobb EMC's board of directors, employees from Gas South, Interlink Control, ProCore Solutions and Allied Utility Services also attended.
Larry Chadwick, Cobb EMC board chairman, welcomed the officers, noting that Cobb EMC, "has always held the law enforcement community in high esteem." The close relationship that Steve Beavers, Associate Vice President of Apparatus and Facilities Maintenance, and Dan Carmichael, Security Coordinator, have with local officers is evidence of that appreciation.
Cobb EMC President/CEO Dwight Brown told the crowd that his "respect for law enforcement increases every day. Your job gets tougher every day. We appreciate the
job that you do."
