As your local electric cooperative, Cobb EMC is committed to delivering value beyond electricity. Everything we do is focused on improving your experience and delivering reliable, sustainable and safe electricity to you at affordable rates. As part of our commitment to delivering you value, we launched the Value of Membership report this year to help you get the most out of your cooperative membership. Below you will find more information about many of the programs detailed in the report. Click here if you wish to unsubscribe from receiving your personalized Value of Membership report.
Who will receive a full report? Residential members who received electric service from Cobb EMC in 2023 will receive a full value of membership report. All commercial members and residential members who moved in 2024, will receive an abbreviated version of the value report.

Online Access
Looking to view your Value of Membership report or letter online? You can now do so through your online account. Simply log in, then click Member Resources. Once we have mailed your Value of Membership report or letter, it will appear under the Company Communications heading. All reports will be accessible by the end of March.

FREE MEMBER EVENTS
Every year, Cobb EMC hosts free events for members to learn about the co-op and explore different topics that impact energy efficiency.
Natural Gas Savings
Did you know Cobb EMC members can get special savings on natural gas with Gas South? Gas South is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cobb EMC and we receive annual dividends which are used to invest in infrastructure and help to keep electric rates low.
LOW RATES & ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Cobb EMC members' bills are $36 lower per month than the state average. For the second year in a row, we're ranked #1 in Georgia for lowest rates among all electric utilities according to the Georgia Public Service Commission's 2023 summer and 2024 winter residential rate survey. Additionally, Cobb EMC has returned nearly $56 million to members since 2013 in the form of a Wholesale Power Adjustment, or what we like to call a Power Perk. Most recently, members can see a WPA credit on their January 2024 bill. As we continue to work hard to keep our members' rates low, we also want to ensure we provide additional resources to help you save money on your electric bill.
RELIABLE POWER
Cobb EMC is ranked 1st in the nation for delivering reliable power and restoring outages quickly according to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' 2023 benchmark year study. As part of our commitment to provide reliable power, we offer enhanced outage communication tools to keep you informed in the event of a power outage and help you easily report issues to us. We also prioritize infrastructure maintenance using the latest technology in the industry, allowing us to inspect our power lines, poles and other equipment more efficiently.
Empowering our community
As a member-owned cooperative, we don't just serve our community, we are part of it. As of January 2024, Cobb EMC has awarded $880,050 to 284 students in our community to empower future leaders and support their educational goals. The Cobb EMC Foundation has given more than $8.6 million to nonprofits right here in our community since its inception and annually awards 14 scholarships of $5,000 each to students attending college/university or vocational/technical schools.
