Members have three options for voting on director elections and a proposed bylaw amendment: 

  • In-person at the meeting. All members must provide photo identification at registration. Commercial, government and church groups must provide authorization to represent their organizations at registration. 
  • By mail-in ballot 
  • Online at 

Votes cast by mail-in ballot or electronically must be received by 5 p.m. on September 14, 2016. 

Subsequent to in-person voting at the meeting, the board of directors will present, at the meeting, final voting totals of director elections and the bylaw amendment submitted by members and the board for consideration by the membership. Mail-in ballots have been previously mailed to each member. Copies of the proposed bylaw amendments, and director biographies and election platforms were mailed to members.

SECTION 3.08. Notice of Nominees. The Secretary shall be responsible for posting at the Cooperative’s headquarters and on its website the nominees for the election, and if received on or before the fourth Friday in May, shall include same in the notice to the Members for the meeting at which the election is to be held.


Key dates and deadlines

  • May 27: Nomination petitions for Director elections must be submitted (Sec. 3.07). Terms for directors of districts 4, 5 and 8 will be expiring at the Annual Meeting. 
  • June 9: Member sponsored bylaw amendments must be submitted (Sec. 10.01).
  • August 12: Notice must be received from any member desiring to exceed the 5 minute speaking limitation for the Annual Meeting (Sec. 2.12).
