How to start electric service

Welcome to Cobb EMC. To establish electric service*, please choose from one of the following options:

1. By phone: Call member care at 770-429-2100, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • You must call at least one (1) business day prior to the day you are requesting the power be turned on (under normal circumstances). For same day connections an additional fee may apply.

  • Have your driver’s license and social security card on hand.

  • A $30 service establishment fee will be applied to your first bill.

  • You may be asked for a deposit if your credit check or previous Cobb EMC pay history requires (pay by cash, check or money order).

  • If we are unable to verify information or are unable to process your payment over the phone, you may be asked to come into the office.

2. In person: Our Cobb EMC office is located at 1000 EMC Parkway, Marietta, GA. Walk-in office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Bring in your lease or purchase agreement along with a valid photo id (driver’s license, passport, etc.) and social security card.

  • A $30 service establishment fee will be applied to your first bill.

  • Pay your deposit, if required (pay by cash, check or money order).

3. Online: Request service online by filling out the form below.

Please allow three business days for processing/correspondence. Completion of this form will not establish service, you will be contacted by a member care representative to finish the process or if additional information is needed. If you need service sooner or have other questions, please contact member care at 770-429-2100 or email us at memberservices@cobbemc.com

** Service requests are scheduled Monday through Friday only.
