Lineman Appreciation Month

Lineman Appreciation Month

You see them working in the blistering summer heat and in harsh, cold conditions. They’re dispatched during the worst thunder and ice storms. Despite the weather, hundreds of millions of people rely on them to keep the lights on. Some call them linemen. To us, they’re heroes.

Georgia’s electric cooperatives, including Cobb EMC, recognize the month of April as Lineman Appreciation Month. Throughout the month, we partner with utility companies across the state to honor the men and women who sacrifice their lives to keep our lights on and protect the public’s safety.

We invite you to take a moment to thank our linemen for the work they do. If you know any linemen, reach out and let them know they are appreciated. You can also show your appreciation on social media by using the hashtag #ThankALineman or by visiting our Facebook page.
