Registration

If you receive electric service from Cobb EMC, you are a member and are eligible to attend the Annual Meeting. If you disconnected service and no longer have an active account, you are not eligible to register or attend the meeting. You must bring a valid photo ID to verify that you live at the address listed on your Cobb EMC bill.

Commercial, government and church groups must provide authorization to represent their organizations at registration. Representatives will need to present a photo ID and work ID/business card.

No. You must be a Cobb EMC member to attend.

Yes, you may attend if you were connected by the date below*. At registration, we may direct you to a resolutions table to verify more information. You must bring a valid photo ID. To speed up the registration lines we also recommend you bring one of the following:

  • A copy of your bill with your name and service address listed, or
  • A digital copy of your bill (available through the Cobb EMC app or our online account management system), or
  • A copy of your September Georgia Magazine with the QR code on the mailing label

No, you do not need to pre-register for the in person portion of the event. We offer two ways to attend the Annual Meeting. Come to the Annual Meeting in person at Jim R. Miller Park* or listen to the business meeting online. Only those who attend the virtual business meeting are required to pre-register.

If you choose to attend in person, on the day of the event, September 12, you must register in person at Jim R. Miller Park to be eligible for the free fair tickets and/or door prizes. Registration is open from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Please allow time for traffic and parking. Registrations will not be accepted after 9:30 a.m.

Any adult (18 years and older) living in the household can register. Bring a photo ID to verify that the adult lives in a home served by Cobb EMC. Only one registration is allowed per member. A member is defined as a Cobb EMC account holder. This means that you may only register one time and receive a maximum of four free fair tickets, regardless of how many accounts you may have with Cobb EMC, or how many people live in your household.

Yes*. You will be registered if you attend our Zoom option online, as well as if you register and attend in person. However, only those members who attend and register in person by 9:30 a.m. at Jim R. Miller Park on Saturday, September 12, will receive up to four fair tickets and the chance to win prizes. Registrations will not be accepted after 9:30 a.m.

In order to ensure proper registration for those attending virtually, it is important to enter all of your information requested on the Zoom registration form as completely and accurately as possible.

Fair Tickets

No. Fair tickets are provided at registration from 8-9:30 a.m. You must be present and register at the Annual Meeting to receive up to four free fair tickets. You must attend and register in person by 9:30 a.m. at Jim R. Miller Park on Saturday, September 12. Registration hours are 8–9:30 a.m. and registrations will not be accepted after 9:30 a.m.

We encourage everyone to stay for the business meeting to learn more about our progress, win prizes, hear from and meet your board of directors. But we understand that everyone has other commitments. Fair tickets are provided at registration. Tickets will not be mailed or distributed after the meeting.

No. Only one member per household may register for the meeting. Each registered member receives up to four free fair tickets – that’s up to four tickets per household. If you disconnected service and no longer have an active account, you will not be able to register, attend or receive free fair tickets.

Tickets must be picked up in person by an adult at least 18 years old who is living at the service address listed on your Cobb EMC bill. You will be asked to present a valid photo ID at registration to verify your address.

Prizes

Door prizes will be raffled off at the conclusion of the business meeting. The business meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. and should end around 11 a.m., depending on how many members wish to ask questions during the meeting. You must stay until the end of the meeting and be present at the event in person for the chance to win raffle and door prizes.

Members must be 18 years old and living at an address served by Cobb EMC to register to attend the Annual Meeting and to win prizes.

Yes! Children and families are welcome.

Parking is free, and there will be people directing you to parking lots as you approach the fairgrounds. Our traffic attendants and employees will direct you to parking and registration. See a parking map.

Yes. We will have coffee, water, and prepackaged snacks available while supplies last.

No. Though the Annual Meeting is a family event, for safety reasons, we ask that you leave furry family members at home.

Yes. The safety and security of all attendees is our top priority.

Yes. Our Annual Meeting will take place rain or shine. Unless storms pose a danger, we will be ready to enjoy the day with our members.

No. For safety reasons, we will not have bounce houses at the event, but bucket truck rides will be available for children.

The Annual Meeting will not be live streamed unless severe weather conditions make it unsafe to hold the event as planned. We encourage members to attend in person and join us for the meeting.

If severe weather requires us to move to a virtual format, we will notify members as soon as that decision is made and encourage everyone to register for the Zoom meeting for their safety. Regardless of the format, a recording of the meeting will be posted after the event for members who are unable to attend.

Voting

The election validation number can be found on the ballot mailing to each member on Friday, August 8. If you have not received your ballot, you can call or email Election Services Corporation, the company that oversees all aspects of the election. They can be reached at 1-866-720-4357 or cemchelp@electionservicescorp.com, Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (ET).

Ballots must be received by mail or electronically posted by 5 p.m. September 9, 2026.

Cobb EMC members are the only people eligible to vote. If you disconnected service or no longer have an active account, you are not eligible to vote. Members have three options for voting on director elections and a proposed bylaw amendment: In person at the meeting; by mail-in ballot; or online at https://www.esc-vote.com/CEMC. Votes cast by mail-in ballot or electronically must be received by 5 p.m. on September 9, 2026. Please note: Paper ballots are not accepted at Cobb EMC headquarters. 

For those voting in person, residential members must provide a valid photo ID at registration. Commercial, government and church groups must provide authorization to represent their organizations at registration.
