Energy Incentive
The Energy Network is a member engagement initiative offered by Cobb EMC. Members receive an incentive to help with the purchase and installation costs of an energy improvement for their home. In return, participating members agree to engage with Cobb EMC through focus groups, surveys, webinars and more. The program helps members make their homes more energy-efficient. Cobb EMC will use feedback from participating members to improve our energy-efficient programs.
The Energy Network Program is available to Cobb EMC members who meet all eligibility requirements and agree to the program terms and conditions.
These include:
- Incentives are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Submitting the incentive request form does not guarantee an incentive. Availability is limited.
- Members must agree to share information about their experience and participate in focus groups.
- Must be a Cobb EMC member who owns a single-family home, receiving residential electric service at the installation address.
- Incentives are subject to verification.
- Members must submit all relevant forms and supporting materials within 60 days of submission approval.
- Members are eligible for one of each incentive type only, even if the member holds multiple Cobb EMC accounts.
- Members must be current on all Cobb EMC accounts.
*Please note that additional eligibility requirements and terms may apply based on the incentive selected.
Eligible members may take advantage of several incentives within the program; however, they may not receive two incentives of the same type. For example, you may take advantage of both the EV charger and smart thermostat incentives; however, you may not use two smart thermostat incentives.
No, Energy Network incentives are for members making new home improvements with the help of the incentive. All improvements must be purchased and/or installed in the current year.
To enroll in the Energy Network Program, choose one of the options above. Each page includes the steps required for each incentive. The incentive pages will instruct you on how to get started as long as incentives are still available (first come, first served).
By enrolling in the Energy Network program, you agree to participate in two feedback sessions with Cobb EMC. These may include but are not limited to, focus groups, online forums, webinars and more. Once you enroll in the program and receive your incentive, we will contact you with engagement opportunities.
Once we are out of a particular incentive, the incentive webpage will be updated. If you would like verification that incentives are still available before purchasing and installing your home improvement, please contact us at gogreen@cobbemc.com.
Cobb EMC offers a list of local contractors who are qualified, insured and ready to help you with your home efficiency or EV projects. When choosing a contractor to complete your work, we encourage you to receive several opinions and quotes prior to having any work done, carefully read contracts before signing, and take caution before paying for all of the work upfront.
