Mark your calendar for the Cobb EMC Annual Meeting

Cobb EMC members are invited to attend our 84th Annual Meeting to learn about our progress and ways to save on your electric bill at our annual member appreciation event. Details will be announced soon, along with frequently asked questions.
- May 27: Terms for directors and districts 4, 5 and 8 will be expiring at the Annual Meeting. Nomination petitions for Director elections must be submitted (Sec. 3.07). Find details on the board elections process.
- June 9: Member sponsored bylaw amendments must be submitted (Sec. 10.01).
- August 12: Written notice must be received from any member who desires to exceed the 5 minute speaking limitation for Annual Meeting (Sec. 2.12).
There are other deadlines and requirements applicable to the Annual Meeting that are contained in the bylaws. Members are encouraged to review Cobb EMC bylaws and to contact Kris Delaney if you have any questions about the Annual Meeting or any deadline requirement related to the Annual Meeting.
Voting for director elections will take place via mail, email or at the Annual Meeting. Election packets will be mailed in August.
Director Election in 2022
SECTION 3.08. Notice of Nominees. The Secretary shall be responsible for posting at the Cooperative’s headquarters and on its website the nominees for the election, and if received on or before the fourth Friday in May, shall include same in the notice to the Members for the meeting at which the election is to be held.
