Cobb EMC members are invited to attend our 88th Annual Meeting on September 12, 2026 to learn about our progress, ways to save on their electric bill, and to vote for director candidates and bylaw amendments.

Voting for Proposed Bylaw Amendments
Voting for proposed Bylaw Amendments is available from August 7 through 5 p.m. on September 9. Election information was mailed and/or emailed on August 7, 2026. View the proposed bylaw amendments information here.
Your vote is important. You have three ways to vote which you can learn more about below. You will need your Validation Number to cast your vote, which you will receive in your election packet via mail or email from Election Services Co. Use your Validation Number and the last 6 digits of your Cobb EMC account number to log in and vote online.

If you receive electric service from Cobb EMC, you are a member and are eligible to attend the Annual Meeting. If you disconnected service and no longer have an active account, you are not eligible to register or attend the meeting. You must bring a valid photo ID to verify that you live at the address listed on your Cobb EMC bill.
Commercial, government and church groups must provide authorization to represent their organizations at registration. Representatives will need to present a photo ID and work ID/business card.

Yes, you may attend if you were connected by the date below*. At registration, we may direct you to a resolutions table to verify more information. You must bring a valid photo ID. To speed up the registration lines we also recommend you bring one of the following:
- A copy of your bill with your name and service address listed, or
- A digital copy of your bill (available through the Cobb EMC app or our online account management system), or
- A copy of your September Georgia Magazine with the QR code on the mailing label

On the day of the event, September 12, you must register in person at Jim R. Miller Park to be eligible for the free fair tickets and/or door prizes. Registration is open from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Please allow time for traffic and parking. Registrations will not be accepted after 9:30 a.m.

A member is defined as a Cobb EMC account holder. This means that you may only register one time and receive a maximum of four free fair tickets, regardless of how many accounts you may have with Cobb EMC, or how many people live in your household.

We encourage everyone to stay for the business meeting to learn more about our progress, win prizes, hear from and meet your board of directors. But we understand that everyone has other commitments. Fair tickets are provided at registration. Tickets will not be mailed or distributed after the meeting.

No. Only one member per household may register for the meeting. Each registered member receives up to four free fair tickets – that’s up to four tickets per household. If you disconnected service and no longer have an active account, you will not be able to register, attend or receive free fair tickets.
Tickets must be picked up in person by an adult at least 18 years old who is living at the service address listed on your Cobb EMC bill. You will be asked to present a valid photo ID at registration to verify your address.
Door prizes will be raffled off at the conclusion of the business meeting. The business meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. and should end around 11 a.m., depending on how many members wish to ask questions during the meeting. You must stay until the end of the meeting and be present at the event in person for the chance to win raffle and door prizes.
Members must be 18 years old and living at an address served by Cobb EMC to register to attend the Annual Meeting and to win prizes.
Members have three different voting options for bylaw amendments:
- By a mail-in ballot, which was mailed on August 7, 2026 to members who chose to receive a paper ballot
- Online (you will need the Validation Number from the paper ballot or email as well as the last 6 digits of your account number):
- via link at www.cobbemc.com/annualmeeting
- at https://vote.escvote.com/CEMC, or
- by logging into My Account at www.cobbemc.com or the Cobb EMC App, where a Vote Now button will take you directly to the secure voting site. Learn more.
- In person at the Annual Meeting. Please note that once a vote is cast by paper ballot in the mail or by online voting, it cannot be changed at the Annual Meeting.
For members who receive a paper ballot in the mail, the validation number is included in the materials. The validation number can also be found in the voting email sent by Election Services Co. on August 7. If you are unable to locate your validation number, please contact Election Services Co. for assistance at 1-866-720-4357 or cemchelp@electionservicescorp.com, Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (ET).
Ballots must be received by mail or electronically posted by 5 p.m. September 9, 2026.
Cobb EMC members are the only people eligible to vote. If you disconnected service or no longer have an active account, you are not eligible to vote. Members have three options for voting for proposed by-law amendments: in person at the meeting, by mail in ballot if received, or online at https://vote.escvote.com/cemc. Votes cast by mail-in ballot or electronically must be received by 5 p.m. on September 9, 2026. Please note: Paper ballots are not accepted at Cobb EMC headquarters.
For those voting in person, residential members must provide a valid photo ID at registration. Commercial, government and church groups must provide authorization to represent their organizations at registration.
With no contested races, directors will be elected by a voice vote at the Annual Meeting.

Parking is free, and there will be people directing you to parking lots as you approach the fairgrounds. Our traffic attendants and employees will direct you to parking and registration. See a parking map.

No. Though the Annual Meeting is a family event, for safety reasons, we ask that you leave furry family members at home.
Yes. The safety and security of all attendees is our top priority.
Yes. Our Annual Meeting will take place rain or shine. Unless storms pose a danger, we will be ready to enjoy the day with our members.
No. For safety reasons, we will not have bounce houses at the event, but bucket truck rides will be available for children.
The Annual Meeting will not be live streamed unless severe weather conditions make it unsafe to hold the event as planned. We encourage members to attend in person and join us for the meeting.
If severe weather requires us to move to a virtual format, we will notify members as soon as that decision is made and encourage everyone to register for the Zoom meeting for their safety. Regardless of the format, a recording of the meeting will be posted after the event for members who are unable to attend.
