Cobb EMC Foundation Scholarship
Earn a $5,000 scholarship toward continuing education.
We are proud to offer the Cobb EMC Foundation Scholarship, which awards 14 scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each to eligible students with a primary residence served by Cobb EMC. There are two types of scholarships available: College/University and Vocational/Technical College. The annual scholarships are funded and administered by the Cobb EMC Foundation board.
- Be a high school senior*
- Be accepted in an undergraduate degree program at any accredited two-year or four-year university or college
- Be accepted at an accredited vocational/technical college
- Live in a primary residence served by Cobb EMC**
- Complete the two-page application
- Write an essay, Maximum 800 words
- Provide an acceptance letter, high school transcript
- Provide one letter of recommendation
*Does not apply to Vocational/Technical College applicants.
**Cobb EMC employees and their children are not eligible for this program and scholarship. Cobb EMC Directors and their children are not eligible for this program and scholarship.

Two (2) Virtual Information Sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, 2027, and Thursday, February 4, 2027, at 5:30 p.m. Register for either session by contacting cobbemcfoundationscholarship@cobbemc.com.
No, the application does not require financial information from applicants.
The College/University Scholarship application requires an unweighted Grade Point Average (GPA) and high school transcript. The Technical College Scholarship application requires a high school transcript or GED Certificate.
No, a minimum GPA or SAT score is not required to apply for the scholarship.

No, Virtual Information Session attendance is not a requirement to apply for the scholarship.

Receipt notification will be communicated via email, text or phone call. Please allow time for a response if the application is submitted near the Friday, February 26, 2027, deadline.
